Description:
Voriconazole, a triazole antifungal agent, Voriconazole is designated chemically as (2R,3S)-2-(2,4-difluorophenyl)-3-(5-fluoro-4-pyrimidinyl)-1-(1H -1,2,4-triazol- 1-yl)-2-butanol with an empirical formula of C16H14F3N5O and a molecular weight of 349.3.

Indication:
Voriconazole, is a broad-spectrum, triazole antifungal agent and is indicated in adults and children aged 2 years and above as follows: Treatment of invasive aspergillosis. Treatment of candidaemia in non-neutropenic patients. Treatment of fluconazole-resistant serious invasive Candida infections (including C. krusei). Treatment of serious fungal infections caused by Scedosporium spp. and Fusarium Tablets J.P. 200mg TM spp. Voriconazole should be administered primarily to patients with progressive, possibly life-threatening infections. Prophylaxis of invasive fungal infections in high risk allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT) recipients.
