Description:
Linezolid is a synthetic antibacterial agent of the oxazolidinone class. The chemical name for linezolid is (S)-N- [[3- [3-Fluo-ro-4-(4morpholinyl) phenyl]-2-oxo-5-oxazolidinyl] methyl]-acetamide. The empirical formula is C16H20FN3O4.

Indication:
LZL™ is an oxazolidinone class antibacterial indicated in adults and children for the treatment of the following infections caused by susceptible Gram-positive bacteria: Nosocomial pneumonia; Community-acquired pneumonia; Complicated skin and skin structure infections, including diabetic foot infections, without concomitant osteomyelitis; Uncomplicated skin and skin structure infections; Vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecium infections.
